A special piece of Poorman family history…
There is a quilt in the collection of the Clark County Historical Society and is on display at the museum iun Marshall, Illinois. It was pieced together in 1912-1913 by the members of St. Paul Methodist Church, near Martinsville, for the Tague family who was moving to Minnesota.
Each church family has a square with their names stitched in it. One of those squares was dedicated to the Sharp family - father Frank and his children Everett, Eva and Goldie.
Another square features the Howe family - JB and Alice and their children - Claud, Hobart, James, Ada, Ida and Lurah.
